happy fall season <3 spookiest time of the year recap & celebrating one year of my Art Diary project!!
Guys, it’s finally fall!!!!!!! 🍂
Welcome to the PRETTIEST time of the year, the one that makes me romanticize everything: the smell of rain, the sound of my chunky boots on wet streets, the way even the dullest corners start glowing orange. This is MY season, when my creative drive and inspiration reach their peak and when I get to create art in the aesthetic that fuels me the most: that dreamy blend of cozy textures, layered patterns, cute accessories and trinkets, all sprinkled with nostalgia, a hint of whimsical magic & just enough dark fantasy to make it mysterious.
I have so many fun artsy things planned around this time & i’ll be yapping about that in a bit, but first let me tell you about my daily life this September🦇☕️ I felt like autumn is really autumning this year so I decided i’m saying yes to every single fall activity i can find: I’ve been wandering through the city taking photos of the first golden leaves, I popped by my fave record store a bit too many times, bought some books to prepare for the upcoming cosy nights I’ll spend reading, went to drawing autumn picnics & the highlight of the month, seeing Justin Warfield from She Wants Revenge live !!!!! Abolute perfection.
And let me tell you that my October & November plans are even better, I have a whole list ready: more concerts around Bucharest, every fall market I can find, joining a pumpkin contest with my bestie, endless cozy shows and Halloween-themed movie marathons, baking as much pumpkin as I can & of course, preparing my spooky outfit for this year <33
Now, let’s talk art!! ✨
For this fall season I decided to go cosy-fantasy mode: vampires, candles, spells, whimsy accessories and all things magical!! I played with deeper tones, shiny accessories and that beautifully vivid color palette that just feels like autumn <3 Here are the artworks I worked so far this season:
Another absolute fun thing I worked on is this silly short comic about a vampire girl & cat. Enjoy the chaotic energy of it xx
And here’s my Halloween reel I worked on for almost two entire days, called ‘pick your Halloween avatar’ which was basically an excuse for me to dress as a vampire, witch and fairy & draw myself as them hahaha.
Now, for the rest of this season I’ll be working on a bigger project called “Girlhood Fairytales.” It’s kind of a surprise, so I won’t spoil too much just yet 🧡 It’ll take up a lot of my time, but I’m soooo excited to dedicate a full blog post to it & ofc, show you the final thing!!
Until I reveal more about this project, I just have to remind you that around this time last year, I was pouring my heart into another dear project of mine, one that’s now turning one year old!!! Yup, you guessed it, my very dear October Art Diary 🎂
Here are ten of my favorite pieces I created during that project & if you missed it, you can always find all the drawing & yapping making of posts right here on my blog <3
